Stability Reinforcement of Slopes Using Vegetation Considering the Existence of Soft Rock

This study investigates the effectiveness of vegetation reinforcement on stability a slope with red-bed soft rock in along Xining-Chengdu railway, China. Four kinds were considered to reinforce soil and slope. The rooted parameters determined based laboratory tests. A numerical model was developed actual geometry layer distributions. soils modeled as elastic perfectly plastic materials represented addition cohesion series subsoil layers within given depth. under both dry rainfall conditions investigated regarding this case. potential failure surface corresponding factor safety for those different analyzed compared. It has been found that increased whether is condition or condition, while increasing proportion due case very limited. results findings are still significant practitioner evaluate reasonability reinforcement.
